Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Celsius Dating. Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully. By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Hexagons BV, incorporated in Belgium with company/VAT number BE1009.785.044 and registered office in Ghent, Belgium ("Celsius," "we," or "us").
1. Definitions
"Celsius Dating" or "the App" - the Celsius Dating app and associated website, operated by Hexagons BV.
"Services" - all features, content and functionality made available through the App, including free and paid tiers.
"Membership" - a paid, recurring access plan that unlocks Premium features within the App.
"Premium features" - the additional features available to subscribers as described in the App at the time of purchase.
"Agreement" - these Terms together with our Privacy Policy and any other referenced documents.
"User" or "you" - any person who creates an account in the App.
2. Access requirements
You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the EU.
The Services are available only to individuals who:
- are at least 18 years old;
- are resident in a member state of the European Union;
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; and
- use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
By accepting these Terms you confirm that you meet all of the above requirements. We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that do not meet these criteria.
3. Your account
Keep your account secure and your information up to date.
To use the Services you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your login credentials with others.
If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at support@celsiusdating.com.
4. Memberships
Paid memberships renew automatically. All fees are non-refundable because access to Premium features is granted immediately upon purchase.
4.1 Free and paid tiers
The App is available as a free tier and one or more paid Membership tiers. Current pricing and included features per tier are displayed in the App and on our website.
4.2 Subscribing to a Membership
A Membership is purchased through the App or website. The Agreement is formed when you complete checkout and payment is processed. All prices are quoted in EUR and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
4.3 Immediate access
Premium features are activated immediately after successful payment. By completing your purchase you expressly acknowledge that the supply of the digital service begins immediately, and you agree that this constitutes delivery of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium under Directive 2011/83/EU.
4.4 Non-refundable
Because Premium features are made available immediately after purchase and accessible right away, all Membership fees are non-refundable. No refunds or credits will be provided for partially used subscription periods, unused time, or for any other reason, except where required by applicable mandatory law.
4.5 Automatic renewal
Memberships automatically renew at the end of each period for the same duration and at the then-applicable price. You authorize us to charge your payment method on the renewal date. We will notify you at least 5 days before your renewal date by email, including the renewal price and cancellation instructions.
4.6 Cancellation
You must cancel your Membership yourself via your Apple App Store or Google Play Store subscription settings, depending on where you purchased it. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until that date. Cancelling your Membership does not delete your account.
4.7 Price changes
We may change Membership prices from time to time. Price increases will be communicated at least 30 days before the effective date by email and in-app notice. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel your Membership before the change takes effect.
5. Acceptable use
Use the App to meet other adults. Be respectful.
You agree to use the Services only for their intended purpose: connecting with other adults for dating and social interaction. You must not:
- misrepresent your identity or age;
- harass, threaten, stalk or harm other users;
- post content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or that infringes third-party rights;
- use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the App;
- reverse-engineer or otherwise abuse the App or its software; or
- use the Services for commercial or promotional purposes without our written permission.
Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal of your account.
6. Content
You own what you post, but you grant us a license to display it. You are responsible for your content.
You retain ownership of content you upload or post ("Your Content"). By posting, you grant Hexagons BV a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Services. You warrant that Your Content does not infringe third-party rights and complies with applicable law.
We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice.
7. Privacy and data protection
We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided in good faith but without warranties. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by EU law.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We make no representations about the suitability, intentions or conduct of other users, on or off the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hexagons BV's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid during the period in which the event giving rise to the claim occurred. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory EU consumer protection law.
9. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time via account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for breaches of these Terms, without prior notice. If we terminate your account for reasons other than breach, we will provide reasonable prior notice. After termination your data will be processed according to our Privacy Policy. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of Membership fees, subject to clause 4.4.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before the effective date by email. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, do not continue using the Services after the effective date.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
Belgian law applies. Disputes are resolved by the courts of Ghent.
These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghent, Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your EU country of residence.
If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@celsiusdating.com. We aim to resolve complaints within 5 business days. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Services and supersede all prior arrangements.
Severability. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
